Roles and Responsibility

General organization, technical administration, firefighter standards, discipline, training and efficiency of the main and sub Fire Stations

Provide advice and guidance to the management chain as required

Ensure that you are in-date with: your own personal medical standards, your fire trade qualifications, Incident Command Structure / Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles and any deficiencies are reported to the Chief Fire Officer.

Attendance to fire calls; the Station Manager will assume the post of Bronze Commander within the ICS structure, or if required attend the Permanent Command Post to support the Silver Command Team in dealing with the situation

Essential

A demonstrable competency record within the role of aviation Incident and Watch Commander with an ICAO supervisor qualification; such as that run by IFTC or holds similar qualifications. Be currently certified as competent in a crew commander role. Must pass medical and fitness standard as laid out in DFRMO Medical Standards for civilian fire and rescue personnel employed on MOD estate – Visual, hearing, bleep test and general health.

Desirable

Fire safety Level 3 and 4

Quality Assurance / Continuous Improvement such as Yellow Belt practitioner, 6 SIGMA.

PTLLS or equivalent

MOD DFRMO BA Trainer

MOD DFRMO RTI Trainer

MOD DFRMO Working At Height Trainer
