Qualification: Bachelor's degree preferably in Mechanical, Chemical/Process engineering.

Experience : 15 Years

Location: UAE

Working days: 6 days/week

Primary objective

Managing the engineeringcoordination team and the Project documentation, under the Project Technical Office responsibilities, for alarge-scale Oil and Gas project. He needs to interact withdesign sub-contractor, client and provide support to the procurement, construction, commissioning teams as well as to Project and Material controls teamsof the project

General Requirements

  • Secure the correct implementation of Company’s Integrated Management System, establish the required KPI’s and controls and follow-up the according and acceptable productivity for the works under his/her responsibilities
  • Supervise and expedite the design sub-contractor with the support of his team of lead engineers.
  • Review the preparations of construction method statements by the construction personnel and contribute as required.
  • Provide feedback and Support the Project Control Team on Planning and maintaining project budget as well as progress measurement and invoicing.
  • Manage changes in engineering and other works pertaining to his/her responsibilities and assess the according effect bin collaboration with Project Controls team
  • Attend meetings with Client, Subcontractors, Vendors, discuss and suggest technical proposals as required.
  • Coordinate between the Construction and Engineering teams ensuring that the construction requirements are conveyed to the engineering teams and that the engineering deliverables satisfy the construction requirements
  • Technically support Procurement team with technical submissions and technically reviewing Vendors and subcontractors’ deliverables.
  • Documenting project issues/constructability conditions and other irregularities.
  • Support the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Team and be responsible for the As-Build documentation and Final Project Record Books compilation and hand-over to Client
  • Reporting directly to Project Manager.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Mechanical, Chemical/Process engineering.
  • 15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Construction Industry in multidisciplinary projects including Civil/Piping/Mechanical/I&C/Safety/Electr works
  • Good communication and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries, in remote areas and operate successfully in an intense business environment.
  • Previous experience on working in Middle East is preferred.
  • Excellent Command of English Language
