Quick Search
You may search for jobs using the “Quick Search” tool when you want to search for jobs by entering certain keywords and/or your current work experience and the location where you wish to work.
Advanced Search
Search for jobs with the help of “Advance Search” when you wish to search for jobs by entering multiple criterions. This search tool will display very specific results if you search across multiple parameters.
Keyword
In the keyword box enter words that describe the job that you are searching for. The search result will display all jobs that have this word. If you enter more than just one keyword it is likely that the jobs that get displayed are closer to what you are looking for, however the number of jobs displayed might be fewer. Therefore to get more jobs in the search result - enter few keywords or try searching with a single keyword each time. The keywords that you enter may be part of a job title, job description or the key skills entered by the employer. For example you can enter the following or similar keywords:
- Brand Manager
- Sales
- Customer Services
- Java
When you enter multiple keywords in a single search separate each keyword with a space. Also you may change the keywords you enter in subsequent searches after viewing some jobs that are displayed in the search result of your initial search. These words would be similar in meaning to the words you entered in previous searches – thereby displaying more jobs that match your profile; or they are words that are used in addition (to the words entered by you) – this form of learning will help you zero in on the jobs that match your profile and requirements closely.
Functional Area
Review the list of functional areas so that you can choose the functional area that is your current profile or the profile of the job that you wish to search for. You will be able to select up to three functional areas by simply holding the “Ctrl” key and making your selection. By choosing a functional area your search results will be more specific though they might be fewer. If you do not select any functional area the search result will display all jobs that contain the keyword(s) entered by you irrespective of their Functional Area.
Location
Select the location according to where you wish to work. If you have no preferred location do not make any selection here – this will display all jobs that match the other criterion entered by you, ignoring the location factor – thereby displaying more jobs.
Experience
Select your current work experience here. You will be able to select only the absolute years, for example if you have worked for 2 years and 6 months – select either 2 years or 3 years.
Industry
Select the industry from the given options by either opting for the industry you are currently working in or the industry that you wish to move to in your next job. For example if you are an IT Professional and the company you are currently working for is a FMCG company but you wish to work in a Telecom Company – select Telecom here.
Education (Highest Degree)
You may search for jobs according to your highest educational qualification. Select the highest degree completed by you from among the given list and also your specialization. For example if you have done a MBA and you specialized in Marketing then select “MBA” in “Highest Degree” and “Marketing” in “Specialization”. This will display jobs that require candidates matching your qualifications.
Level
Select the level of the job that you wish to switch to or the level of your current job. For example if you are looking for a part time job select “Part Time” here, or if you are working as an “Assistant Manager” in your current job then select “Middle Level” here.
Search Job by Ad ID
If you wish to view a job that was advertised in print and carried an “Ad ID” along with the Job Title and Job Description then enter the Job’s Ad ID here and click “Go”. This will display a detailed description and requirements of the job.
